Alaska Challenge 2009
The Challenge
Forest Park places a priority on not only sending money,
but also sending people to the mission fields of the world.
A team of 31 people will assist in building a counseling
facility at Alaska Christian College from June 27 through
July 12.
Many students who arrive at ACC come with psychological
and emotional problems such as depression, alcohol addiction,
and drug abuse. Currently, a dedicated staff of counselors
and mentors address these issues at the college.
The Forest Park New Hope Counseling Center will provide
1527 square feet of home-like counseling offices. Approximately
$165,000 is needed for the construction costs of the four-office
facility.
