Community Outreach
As the body of Christ we strive to reach out to our local community with the resources with which God has blessed us. We are His hands that serve breakfast to the hungry. We are His feet that walk up along side those in need.
Covenant Enabling Residences
Special residences for adults who are developmentally disabled is not a new concept. However, Covenant Enabling Residences of Michigan is a Christian alternative. Adjacent to Forest Park Covenant Church, two family-style Christian residences for developmentally disabled adults were built-one home for six men and the other for six women. Love INC Budget Counseling Ministry
This non-profit organization partners with local churches and services providers to help meet the legitimate needs of people in our community. The Love INC network provides food, clothing, household goods and baby pantries along with crib, bike, furniture, appliance and kids care ministries. They also provide specialized attention and resources for financial literacy. Forest Park is a host church for Love INC on Thursday evenings. Last Call Ministries
Last Call protects and improves communities by serving individuals through a designated driver service. Their commitment is to fulfill the Great Commission by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through a designated driver service. You may learn more about Last Call Ministries on their web site. Muskegon Pregnancy Services
MPS is committed to assisting women carry to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance all the while presenting the Gospel. They are also committed to creating awareness within the local community. Forest Park collects funds thru the baby bottle campaign and collects clothing for MPS. Saturday Morning Breakfasts
First Congregational Church in downtown Muskegon hosts a hot breakfast every Saturday from 8:15 to 11:00 a.m. They also distribute food off a gleaner truck in the warm months. Forest Park servers assist the last Saturday of every month. Call Kay Vanderwall at 231-780-4304 if you would like to help.
