Discipleship
A disciple is one who undertakes the discipline of their teacher. Thus, discipleship is about learning what that discipline is and learning how to follow. Discipleship is part education, part mentoring, and part apprenticeship.
Tuesday Morning Bible Studies
Here is an opportunity for in-depth Bible study for women. These studies usually include homework to be completed throughout the week. Past studies have included Precept Bible studies, Beth Moore Bible studies, and other curricula. Childcare is provided for young mothers.
Wednesday Night Bible Studies
A variety of studies are available for both men and women. These studies usually include reading or homework during the week. Past studies have included Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University," Marriage Classes, Precept and Beth Moore Bible Studies for women, and men's studies, such as "Wild at Heart."
Morning Star Seniors Bible Study
This is wonderful time of fellowship, singing and Bible study for our Senior Saints! They meet every Thursday morning at 10:00am in the church's Fellowship Hall. Pastor Paul Bengtson, Pastor of Congregational Care, leads this group with great humor and enthusiasm!
Student Discipleship
The Core is a discipleship class for students in 7th and 8th grade. It is a two-year program with classes on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. that cover the Old and New Testaments and a little bit a church history.
Bible Study Fellowship
BSF provides women with the tools, the environment, the relationships, and the support they need to grow deeper in their knowledge and understanding of God and the Bible. This interdenominational group meets at Forest Park on Wednesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Visit BSF International online for more information.
Men's Fraternity
This three-year series of two 12-week sessions per year is designed to help men come together and strengthen each other through weekly gatherings that combine biblical teaching and small group interaction.
Men's Fraternity meets at the church at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings. As the guys involved like to say, "The only conflict will be with your alarm clock!" Visit Men's Fraternity online for more information about this interdenominational ministry.
