Encouraging Ministries
Since each of us is given unique gifts to serve, finding an opportunity to apply our gifts, heart, abilities, and experiences in the church is important. Contact us for more information about these encouraging ministries.
Prayer Ministry
Our Healing Prayer Ministry consists of compassionate, trained prayer persons who minister during our morning worship services, healing services, and in an on-call basis.
Men of the congregation may participate as a Pastor's Prayer Partner. They commit themselves to pray for the pastoral staff and the church every day. They also commit to praying once a month with a small group of other Prayer Partners during one of our worship services. Every service at Forest Park has Prayer Partners releasing the prevailing power of God upon our worshippers.
HOPE Ministries
This is a group of caring Christian lay ministers who come alongside persons who are going through significant stress, for a period of time. They are trained and commissioned by FPCC to be an extension of the staff pastors.
Covenant Enabling Residences
Located on the church campus, our two residences for developmentally disabled adults are always in need of volunteers to read, play games, attend events, and visit with the residents. Visit Covenant Enabling Residences online for information.
Groundskeeper Volunteers
During the growing season, we need men or women willing to work with a team to weed, plant, and perform other yard duties.
Information Center
Located at the main entrance to the Sanctuary on either side, the Information Center is staffed before and after our Sunday morning worship services to answer a broad range of questions. You can find information and the locations of Adult Bible Fellowships, children's and youth programming, as well as sign-up sheets for various events. Brochures of various ministries and events are also located at the Information Center.
Hospitality Center
Located in the Library immediately following Sunday morning services, the Hospitality Center is staffed with trained volunteers. They are equipped to pray with those seeking prayer, share general information to guests new to Forest Park, and help those seeking church membership begin this process.
Ushers
Ushers at Forest Park do much more than collect the offering. They make sure that people receive a friendly welcome, look out for any needs that might arise among our worshippers, and are trained in both fire evacuation and in the use of our on site defibrillator.
Greeters
We always need people who are willing to extend a warm smile and a handshake to those who enter for worship each Sunday.
Alpha Ministry
This is a team of people who help organize a 10-week course designed for people who are not Christians or who are new to the faith.
Meals
On occasion we provide meals of caring encouragement too those in need. The rotating schedule is designed according to the provider's availability. Meals can be homemade or purchased.
Funeral Luncheon Volunteers
This opportunity involves the preparation of a funeral luncheon, serving, and clean-up as need arises.
Coffee Hour Host
We serve coffee and cookies after the 11:05 a.m. service in our fellowship hall. These people prepare the table and food for serving, and make sure the kitchen is cleaned afterwards.
Visitation Caregivers
We have many senior saints who can no longer attend our morning worship services. They might still live in their home or at some type of retirement/care facility. Our caregivers visit them for conversation, encouragement, and bring communion to them.
Church Office Assistants
If you are willing to help with bulletin inserts, special mailings, and the monthly newsletter, please contact the church office.
Sidewalk Servants
This ministry helps seniors and anyone else needing assistance into church to and from the parking lot.
Library Ministry Team
If you love books, this ministry of maintaining our library and its records might be for you.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
